The Business Analyst IT, International role is ultimately responsible for delivering and leveraging analysis throughout the solution development lifecycle to ensure the optimal delivery and support.  The role is performed within and across business functions, with a focus on the International business. There are key similarities and differences between the domestic and international business.  This role will need to be aware of those differences.  The Bsuiness Analyst IT is responsible for identifying business needs, assessing the impact of system or process changes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and providing insight to ensure requirements are translated into workable business solutions. Additionally, this role will provide post implementation support to business stakeholders and end-users to ensure solutions continue to meet business requirements.

The international restaurant technology landscape differs from the US domestic ecosystem.  Differences by geopolitical region include vendor/brand availability, accounting, and financial reporting requirements, to name a few.

The Business Analyst IT, International is responsible for coordinating the various international technology vendor partner landscape on behalf of CKE Restaurants and its International Franchisees.

This role will be the primary liaison among International Technology Vendors, CKE Restaurant International Staff, and International Franchisees for activities related to franchisee expansion and franchisee technology evolution.

Key Responsibilities


  • Regular and frequent evaluation and documentation of the global state of technology vendor viability, capability, interoperability, and local support networks by geopolitical region for QSR (“Quick Serve Restaurant”) technologies such as:

    • POS Hardware and Software

    • Inventory and Labor Management Systems

    • Restaurant Reporting Systems

    • Order Confirmation Systems

    • Drive-Through Timer Systems

    • Digital Menu Systems

    • Kitchen Management Systems

    • Payment Systems

  • Coordination of technology pricing and issue resolution between the International Franchisee and the vendors contracted by the International Franchisee.   Specifically, this role will not be called upon for direct issue resolution, but will provide coordination and enterprise leverage between the International Franchisee and the technology vendor
  • Creating and maintaining technology standards and recommendations that serve as a ready and reliable set of choices for International Franchisees to drive the best opportunity for franchisee success and profitability
  • Assist with sales data collection and remediation missing information

  • Identify system integration needs and provide recommendations based upon known vendor capabilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical guidance in support of company objectives

  • Regularly interface with restaurant technology vendors to ensure solutions are consistent with the company’s strategy and architecture and that they can provide effective features and functions for the International Franchisee

  • Assists franchisees in the assessment of restaurant technology implementation options

  • Pursues and fosters restaurant technology vendor relationships and assists in achieving the most profitable vendor cost structure on behalf of the international franchisee

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field

  • 5+ years of work experience in a business role requiring interaction with technology solution providers and technology solution consumers

  • 5+ years of experience eliciting, documenting, and validating requirements as part of cross-functional project teams

  • 3+ years of IT experience
