The Franchise Equipment Account Executive is responsible for developing plans, strategies, and budgets for sales of equipment to new and existing franchise and corporate operators.  This role initiates customer contact, develops and maintains positive customer relationships, and conducts scheduled visits and project follow-up to ensure that HED’s goals and objectives are achieved.
May perform any or all of the following duties:
  • Displays outstanding leadership skills; provides coaching, guidance and development advice to a staff of approximately (5-6 ) indirect reports and no direct reports
  • Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve HED budgeted objectives, ensuring that current customers are satisfied and all potential sources of new business are aggressively pursued
  • Projects long range sales planning and budgeting by collaborating with corporate and franchise personnel on new company and franchise developments and remodels
  • Provides the equipment necessary to open stores in a timely and efficient manner
  • Analyzes present and future equipment needs, trends, and/or problems by maintaining a current knowledge of market conditions and our competitions activities, pricing and services
  • Makes recommendations to ensure HED’s competitive position in the marketplace is maintained
  • Establishes and controls short and long-range sales and expense objectives for HED Sales Dept
  • Assists the VP with making long-range plans and budgets that meet corporate objectives
  • Sells equipment to accommodate new stores, remodels and equipment replacements
  • Provides sales forecasting information for business planning and vendor management purposes
  • Manages and controls projects including new stores, remodels, rollouts, etc
  • Coordinates equipment delivery with all departments
  • Monitors percentage of return goods authorized; verifies and negotiates final invoicing issues
  • Maintains high levels of knowledge, regarding pricing, and new product development
  • Obtains technical sales knowledge of all products offered by HED.
  • Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements

  • Must possess approximately ten (10) years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of  sales experience (preferably in a franchise system)
  • BA/BS Degree preferred

  • Must have a high level of analytical and technical abilities coupled with independent judgment

  • Must have very strong relationship building skills to interact positively with the franchise community

  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interfaces effectively with Senior Management

  • Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results

  • Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information



  • Corporate Office fast paced, high volume of activity and a deadline driven environment


  • Sitting for extended periods of time, using telephone, typing and/or operating a computer and/or mouse

  • Travels as needed approximately seventy five (75)%
