The IT Finance Manager is responsible for overall financial management for the IT department. This position is accountable for day-to-day financial operations and planning. This role will partner closely with I.T. leaders on business case development and technology supplier & contract management. This leader will be a key participant in managing technology investment, analyzing cost impacts and synergies, internal controls and reporting. The overarching objective for this position is to maximize the value from IT investments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·     Support the annual financial plan and monthly forecasting process for IT
·     Work with the CKE finance team on Monthly Close deliverables for technology cost centers such as month-end expense accruals and executive reporting
·     Prepare monthly reporting packages - analyzing financial results, understanding key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating/presenting key messages to senior management
·    Assist with establishing and maintaining the relevant set of financial metrics to be provided as a dashboard for senior management and business partners
·    Build and automate reports/dashboards that provide IT leaders clear insight of their operations
·    Perform ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to support critical decision making
·    Support the project management process for new projects within IT by partnering with project managers on financial analysis and metrics
·         Plan and lead annual budget process for all IT spend including labor, projects, HW/SW, hosting, SaaS, capital and services.
·         Ensure alignment of technology spend during the year with budgets and forecasts.
·         Analyze financial performance monthly, focusing on key IT metrics, prior year and budget.
·         Explain variances and recommend/prioritize risk mitigation and cost saving opportunities, and recommending actions to management.
·         Work with IT project stakeholders to develop and manage capital requests.
·         Model and analyze multi-year spend scenarios to understand future consequences of current investments.
·         Provide accurate data for and facilitate making of fact-based technology decisions.
·         Scrutinize requests for funding. Complete cost/benefit analysis. Challenge requests to add incremental and especially new technologies & capabilities.
·         Champion the cause of software elimination/retirement. Cut costs, or divert to higher value opportunities.
·         Secure incremental funding through communication of IT value.
·         Manage and maintain an IT contracts database. Track details of contract terms and highlight opportunities for improvement.
·         Ensure annual renewals are completed in a timely fashion with sufficient time to renegotiate costs/terms.
·         Control costs for services and ensure they are in line with budgeted expenses.
·         Validate accuracy of & process technology supplier invoices.



Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent years of experience
3-5 years relevant work experience in the field of finance or asset management
Experience working with various software inventory and asset management tools
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
Demonstrated ability to define and manage processes
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skill set, proficient in Excel
Strong analytical skills including understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent communication and time management skills

Preferred:

·         Master’s degree

·         CPA

·         Understanding of IT hardware/software licensing/maintenance models

·         Ability to effectively achieve outcomes in a highly matrixed organization.

·         Proactive, self-starter, results-orientation. Able to deliver high-quality, accurate results against often unstructured, ad-hoc work deliverables.

·         Ability to read, understand and negotiate complex contract terms and pricing.
