ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

May perform any or all of the following duties:

       Ensure day-to-day operating performance of financial systems including interfaces from supporting systems

       Ensure financial system maintenance requirements such as rollover and backups function properly

       Analyze day to day system performance ensuring system “up” and performing at desired speeds and responsiveness

       Monitor and report on data integrity metrics

       Monitor and anticipate system capacity requirements

       Troubleshoot finance system problems reported by users

       Escalate and monitor escalation of complex finance system performance issues

       Lead and/or support implementation of new modules or upgrades including managing, testing, documenting

       Liaise with any third party specialist system support vendors (for PS, Hyperion, HCM) engaged to provide support

       Champion best practices for users

       Orient and train new users


 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES

        Minimum of five (5) years experience that demonstrates a commanding knowledge in systems support, accounting, finance or related IT field, preferably in a comparable role or as a “super user” demonstrating a deep affinity for technical aspects of financial systems performance

        Bachelor’s degree, Systems related, Accounting or Finance preferred

        Experience with ERP systems, Oracle/Peoplesoft strongly preferred

        Experience with Hyperion strongly preferred

        Experience with Oracle HCM strongly preferred

        Big 4 Public Accounting experience a plus

        CPA license, or comparable certification a plus

        Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and communication skills

        Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to identify and implement process improvement capabilities

        Strong work ethic; commitment to seeing duties completed at a high standard of quality

        Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

        Able to work efficiently and effectively, both in teams and independently

        Ability to use independent thinking and professional judgment

        Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and environment, strong organizational skills and attention to detail

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

        Corporate Office fast paced, high volume of activity and a deadline driven environment

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

        Sitting for extended periods of time, using telephone, typing and/or operating a computer and/or mouse

        Travels as needed approximately five (5)%
