The Product Marketing Manager effectively manages the new product and product improvement processes for Hardee's/Carl’s Jr. and/or Red/Green Burrito product lines.  Responsible for facilitating and developing marketing plans for projects in the test phase, system-wide rollouts and providing ongoing updates to senior management on the status of product and menu related projects.


May perform any or all of the following duties:

  • Identifies screens, develops, evaluates tests, and introduces new products into the system
  • Manages product improvements and cost­ savings opportunities in menu category; serves as content expert
  • Directs the efforts of core team members for each project
  • Provides ongoing updates to senior management on the status of product and menu related projects
  • Establishes timelines and maintains on schedule: market tests and system rollouts
  •  Partners with Supply Chain in determining and maintaining proper inventory levels, with Operations in implementing new products into the restaurants, and with Research and Development  in developing products that have potential sales impact
  • Keeps abreast of competitors' products and marketing policies
  • Maintains an open interaction with the Director of Product Marketing, Senior Vice President of Product Marketing and R &D
  • Attends seminars and completes other training to remain current on industry trends
  • Participates  in company meetings, webinars and conference calls
  • Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements

  • Approximately 3 to 5 years in restaurant industry experience, marketing and/or Product Management preferred
  • Project Management experience in a corporate retail or restaurant environment
  • Degree in marketing, communications, public relations, and commensurate experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to establish strong working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Resourcefulness and ability to think outside of the box
  • Must have the ability to determine expectations, monitor measures to achieve processes, quality standards, and commitments.
  • Strong project management experience
  • Ability to manage timelines and budgets
  • Corporate Office fast paced, high volume of activity and a deadline driven environment
  • Sitting for extended periods of time, using telephone, typing and/or operating a computer and/or mouse
  • Travels as needed approximately ten (10)%
