POSITION SUMMARY
The CKE Restaurant and Holding, Inc. team is looking for a Director of Internal Communications and CSR. We are on the hunt for a passionate, strategic and energetic internal/employee communications lead to be responsible for strategy development and program delivery of Employee and Franchise Communications, Cultural Values and CSR programs, across a diverse employee population that includes restaurant employees, field operators, corporate support staff and executive leadership.

CKE is the holding company for Carl's Jr. and Hardee's. This individual will be responsible for driving the internal communications strategy and delivering a compelling and cohesive narrative about our two iconic brands. In addition, this individual will work with senior leadership and a variety of global stakeholders to shape messaging and ensure our people are informed, included and inspired. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
May perform any or all of the following duties:
Displays outstanding Leadership skills; provides coaching, guidance and development advice to a staff of approximately 3 reports
Collaborates with executive leadership to develop an engaging CKE culture that reflect core values
Develops and implements a communications strategy for the corporation that builds and maintains a positive internal employment brand.
Leads team in execution of internal marketing campaigns that inspire employees to evangelize both Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s brand and core values
Oversees the development and maintenance of internal digital communications resources (i.e. intranet) including methods to deliver message, ease of navigation, and clarity of information; ensures that all content is current and relevant
Ensures consistent and timely information is delivered to employees through various communications best practices and programs.
Develops and maintains positive professional relationships with key stakeholders and regional leads, define their communication requirements, and provide them with strategic advice and counsel
Builds and leads CSR programs that engage employees and align with CKE values, developing partnerships on a local and national level
Assists executive leadership in developing presentations, speeches, and other important corporate messages
Define and implement cultural best practices, utilizing strategic thinking and creativity to increase employee engagement and satisfaction
Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES
Must possess approximately eight (8) years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of internal communications strategy 
BA/BS Degree in Journalism, English, or Communications preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain a relevant, engaging internal brand voice
Industry relevant experience highly preferred – Restaurant, Retail, or comparable organization with a diverse employee population
Proven experience in managing teams
Strong ability to prioritize and provide counsel to internal partners
Direct experience building brands
Excellent verbal communicator, brilliant writer, strong editor to create compelling messaging and narratives, (minus the corporate-speak) 
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
You’re a strong writer and storyteller who can distill complex concepts, craft a compelling narrative, and build an emotional connection. 
You are adaptable and humble, willing to take on projects big and small. 
Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information

Corporate Office fast paced, high volume of activity and a deadline driven environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sitting for extended periods of time, using telephone, typing and/or operating a computer and/or mouse
