POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Asset Protection & Risk Management is responsible for the development and administration of policies and procedures that contribute to effective loss reduction programs while maintaining expense controls.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

May perform any or all of the following duties:

Identifies and analyzes problem areas within the company and direct implementation of policies and procedures, which would impact in a positive manner by reducing exposure and increasing profitability

Defines, administers and manages the Asset Protection and Loss Prevention methodologies, ensuring that they match or exceed the industry's current "best practices"

Provides supervision, guidance to Asset Protection and Risk Management teams

Establishes strong relationships throughout the entire organization

Assures that Loss Prevention guidelines are incorporated in CKE operating policies and procedures

Investigates claims of embezzlement and fraud against CKE from restaurants or the corporate office as required

Ensures that all investigative procedures, interviewing techniques and actions taken by the company are in compliance with State and Federal laws

Other duties as assigned


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES

Approximately ten (10) years experience in Asset Protection/Risk Management field, previous management experience is required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both internally and externally

Wickland & Zulawski certification preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both internally and externally

Ability to identify viable operational process improvements with metrics and risk analysis, implementing changes in systems and procedures

Strong Leadership skills; experience with skills development and coaching

Strong work ethic; commitment to seeing duties completed at a high standard of quality


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Corporate Office, restaurant locations, vendor sites, fast paced and demanding environment


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Constant interaction with internal and external partners by phone, in-person and/or electronic communications

Interactive verbal and listening skills for extended periods of time

Frequent travel  -  50% or more at times
