IT Business Analyst



The IT Business Analyst role is ultimately responsible for delivering and leveraging analysis throughout the solution development lifecycle to ensure the optimal development, implementation, integration, user acceptance, and performance of applications, systems, and processes both within and across business functions. Business Analysts are responsible for identifying business needs, assessing the impact of system or process changes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and providing insight to ensure requirements are translated into workable business solutions. The Business Analyst will provide post implementation support to business stakeholders and end-users to ensure solutions meet the prescribed business requirements.

This particular role has a focus on the Oracle PeopleSoft/Hyperion/HCM implementation at CKE.  As part of that focus, this role will be responsible for driving system stability, issue resolution, and leading functional workshops/requirements meetings. 

  • Direct support for CKE’s Oracle PeopleSoft/Hyperion/HCM implementation by driving issue resolution, holding weekly status meetings with key stakeholders, partnering with our key vendors on enhancements, and working with the entire team (technical and functional) on overall system stability and usage. 
  • Develops requirements, or participates in a team of BAs in the development of requirements, for process or system solutions
  • Provides insight and aids in the evolution of applications, systems, and/or processes
  • Supports solution design by providing insight at design sessions with IT teams to help translate requirements into workable business solutions; advocating for additional data and/or services as necessary to address key business issues; researching, vetting, and recommending available third-party vendors to management and business leaders as appropriate
  • Supports solution integration and acceptance testing and provides post implementation support to stakeholders and end-users

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of direct experience supporting Oracle PeopleSoft, Hyperion, and HCM
  • 5 + years of experience in business analysis or eight years of comparable experience without a  degree.  BA/BS Degree preferred in Business Administration, Computer Science or CIS
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including facilitation and team leadership
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and capable of working independently or within a team
  • Strong background in system development and implementation lifecycles
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and able to handle multiple projects and tasks
  • Must have a positive attitude and handle stress well in a constantly evolving environment  
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive business relationships and foster an environment of mutual respect, understanding, trust and support


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field
  • Oracle PeopleSoft Certification Training
  • Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
  • Demonstrated experience implementing modern ERP solutions
  • 3+ years of experience working on cross-functional project teams
  • 1-3 years of experience in business case development and analysis
