POSITION SUMMARY

CKE, holder of the iconic brands Carl’s Jr., and Hardee’s, is a well-known leader in the restaurant industry. The operations team is seeking a Manager of Franchise Business Consultants/Area Manager dedicated to the support and development of Hardees Corporate Restaurants and/or to help accelerate the company’s leadership position in the QSR market. This role will be a critical part of the organization’s Field Operations team and will play a key role in executing a bold strategic plan that will drive transformational support to franchisees and/or corporate restaurants. Reporting to the Director of Operations for Hardees, the Manager of Franchise Business Consultants/Area Manager will be a resource to develop Franchise Business Consultants and/or District Managers as they coach and support franchisees and corporate employees to deliver winning results using best-in-class processes, systems, and execution of key initiatives for improvement. Success in this role will involve driving execution against key initiatives for improvements across the system in support of franchisees and an improved customer experience.

3-5 direct, above-restaurant employees; 25-30 Franchise Entities; Approx. 200 Franchised Restaurants or Approx. 60 Corporate Restaurants

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

May perform any or all of the following duties:

      Develop, manage, and lead a team of Franchise Business Consultants/District Managers to achieve regional brand success as defined by periodic, quarterly, and annual performance targets. Includes training and motivating the team, providing employees with the knowledge and skills to be trusted resources and partners to franchisees.

      Support corporate restaurant employees and franchisees in their pursuit of sustainable and continuous improvement in restaurant-level performance as measured by the operations scorecard metrics (QA/OA assessment, Customer Satisfaction, Training Compliance, Speed of Service, etc.) and financial performance targets (Same Store Sales, EBITDA, transaction counts, etc.).

      Identify, prioritize, advocate for, and support corporate employees and franchisees in the implementation of transformational improvements to operations that will create a superior customer experience;

      Identify, quantify, achieve, and measure ambitious but realistic business development goals for the assigned area and with franchisee entities that operate within;

      Develop and maintain successful working relationships with key CKE team members, including those at the Restaurant Support Center, to act as an advocate for the needs of franchisees you support;

      Continuously evaluate, develop, and coach franchise business consultants/area managers to develop and demonstrate sufficient problem-solving capabilities and the ability to be a trusted resource and partner to franchisees.

      Be a highly-visible and accessible leader available to his/her team and the franchisee community.

      Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES

      5+ years of operating experience in multi-unit, consumer-facing businesses; QSR, restaurant, and/or food-service industry experience preferred.
