The Manager, Media is responsible for impactful and integrated media plan development and execution leveraging media and marketing insight, strategic planning, innovation, and creativity for the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s brands. This person is a passionate media enthusiast, focused on getting the most out of communication plans and budgets, who understands the changing media landscape. The role oversees the day-to-day media activities with a focus on local media and digital media and requires a strong analytical skillset and a fine attention to detail in order to drive business goals for the brands.
Support the media and the marketing teams in the strategy and development of a high volume of DMA-level media plans from inception to execution inclusive of spot TV, radio, OOH, digital and coupons
Serve as day to day contact for agency of record, ensuring agency is delivering the best efficiencies and value for the brand and that recommendations are meeting business objectives.
Update and maintain budgets and media flowcharts reacting to changing business needs which may require plan and budget revisions on a regular basis
Manage the day-to-day execution of media plans and strategies including creative rotations, competitive intelligence, media proposals and recap presentations 
Manage communication process and frequent analysis and presentations with field marketing team and franchisees on local media strategies, sponsorships, allocations and ad hoc requests
Liaise with internal marketing, advertising and social teams to develop integrated campaigns and plans that align with brand and business goals with a focus on digital media strategy and execution
Present media plans and post-campaign analysis/reporting to management in written presentations, excel charts and power point decks on a regular basis 
Work with agency to set KPI’s and constantly analyze and optimize campaigns accordingly to provide highest level of results
Develop localized digital media strategies that aligns campaigns and goals, satisfying objectives and providing evaluation based on qualitative and quantitative results
Participate in Media Mix Modeling activities to analyze media effectiveness/ROI and productivity in order to ensure ongoing effectiveness and efficiency in media plans
Manage native advertising, branded content, integrated and sponsorship programs 
Monitor and report on media marketplace and competitive to stay abreast of trends, identify opportunities in emerging media and related technologies

Experience: 
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
2+ years of experience working in media strategy, planning or buying at a brand or media agency
Strong knowledge and experience of building a plan from insight to execution
Experience planning across multiple types of media with a focus on local media in-depth experience in the areas of spot TV, radio and digital media
Strong understanding of data and analytics, particularly as it pertains to attribution, media optimization, testing scenarios and application to future investments
Knowledge and experience with syndicated research and media planning tools (e.g. ComScore, Nielsen, MRI, Simmons, etc.), and how to apply them to various media planning scenarios.
Understanding of media related metrics such as CPP, GRPs, Reach, Frequency, etc. and knowledge of how those metrics are utilized in campaign planning and reporting.
Exposure to TV planning, inclusive of linear, addressable, on-demand, and other emerging formats
Experience with creative high impact media integrations/partnerships beyond traditional ad buys.
Knowledge of digital marketing capabilities and metrics, especially Display, Video, Paid Social, Mobile and Programmatic
Knowledge of digital measurement, tracking methods, and analysis 
Experience working on custom executions and campaigns with publishers and media vendors.
Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
QSR, retail or restaurant experience a major plus
