CKE, holder of iconic brands Carl Jr's and Hardee's, is a well-known leader in the restaurant industry.  The Operations Team is seeking a Restaurant Profitability Coach (RPC) who will work directly with Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) and franchisees to implement best-in-class processes and systems that deliver winning results combined with disruptive industry innovation.  Reporting to a Restaurant Profitability Manager, he/she will be responsible for driving restaurant execution against key initiatives and will be a pivotal part of helping to deliver an improved customer experience.  Through effective and measurable initiatives, the RPC will help drive profitable top-line growth in the restaurants they support.

  • Drive continuous improvement in restaurant level performance on each aspect of the new Operations Balanced Scorecard:
    • Ensure brand standards are maintained via the operations assessment (OA) process
    • Bring the company’s Need for Speed initiative to life in order to achieve drive-thru speeds at lunch of 210 seconds or less
    • Achieve an overall satisfaction (OSAT) target of 74% as captured through the new voice of the customer program run by Service Management Group
    • Build capability at unit level by achieving 100% training compliance for all Restaurant General Mangers (RGM)
    • Deliver sustained same store sales and transaction count growth
  • Continuously evaluate, develop, and coach RGMs to ensure they have the necessary problem-solving capabilities to successfully manage and drive growth in the restaurant they operate.
  • Work with Franchisees on initiatives aimed at growing sales, growing profits, and enhancing the customer experience. 


  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred and/or requisite industry and management experience is required.
  • 3-5 years of operational management experience or 2+ years of operating experience in a multi-unit consumer facing businesses (restaurants, hotels or multi-unit retail - c-stores or grocery).
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and root cause identification skills.
  • Proven prioritization, presentation, budgeting, time management, project management, and planning skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite, comfortable with mobile technology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
